DSI - CHINA TOUR

Design Workshop organizing; Teaching; Illustration(workshop poster);

This is my first teaching experience, four-day workshop at Hunan Normal University 湖南师范大学 with students from different design background is full with excitement but also, challenging.

On the first day, we organized and evaluated the issues uncovered from resident interviews and student observations, discussed the difference between symptoms and root cause, and each of the five teams was given the assignment to chose three root causes;

The second day, ideation, each team was asked to choose one root cause, and come up with hundred ideas for how to address it;

The third day, prototype testing, students went back to the neighborhood the test their prototypes, and learn to ask questions rather than presenting solutions too soon;

The last day, through the whole process DSI and HNU have deepened connections with each other and planning to bring students together to continue this project.

Tan Dun Office

Art Direction, Branding;

Tan Dun is a contemporary classical composer and conductor, most widely known for his film scores for the blockbuster movies Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Hero, as well as composing music for the medal ceremonies at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Design promotional materials including signs, brochures, website content, program booklets, and CD/DVD packages.
